Tommy Castro

I once obtained the autograph of a blues (GREAT) singer, Tommy Castro.  I no longer have that autograph due to certain circumstances.  I saw Tommy at the Beal Street Blues Festival several years ago in
Memphis.  It was outside in a park where the monsoon rains had hit several days before the concert.  I had on new Merrell suede shoes.  The
Tennessee mud did little to enhance my new shoes.

After the concert I tracked Tommy down, this was not extremely difficult, and stood in line to get his autograph.  I had no paper, pen or pencil handy so I used the next best thing; my chest.  I just ripped open my shirt exposing not a lot of flesh but just enough for his signature.  It was so convenient that he had a black marker and proceeded to autograph my chest.  He never even batted an eye and he has wonderful blue bedroom eyes.  I wonder if this type of action is common to him?

So the rain continued and my black marker Tommy Castro autograph from the wonderful blues singer slowly trickled down to my toes.  I am left with the memories of the autograph and my mud encrusted suede shoes.
